There are a few requirements to join the Pennington First Aid Squad.

You must:

• be at least 16 years old.
• live within a 5.5 mile driving distance of the squad building if you are not already an EMT-B.
• be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
• not have a criminal background.
• have a valid social security number.
• be physically and mentally capable (with training) of carrying out the duties of an EMT-B as described in the National Curriculum.
• be reachable by phone or email within two weeks of making this application.

If you wish to join you must fill out both the application form and the consent form giving PFAS the right to perform a background check. You have certain rights in regard to the background check. You have certain rights in regard to handling of your application for membership.

The forms may be filled out on line, but they must be printed and signed before submitting. You may mail them to our PO Box in care of the President or hand deliver them to any officer of the squad. You should expect a request for an interview within 14 days. You may expect to get an answer within 60 days.
